Committees

School Board

The School Board is the governing body of the school. Representatives of the school community are elected at the AGM to assist in ensuring the school is administered well.  The School Board works in collaboration with the school’s Leadership Team and Parish Priests.  Board responsibilities range from policy direction to financial management and includes an awareness of the pastoral direction of the school.

Parent Community Committee

The Parent Community Committee is the coordinating body for parent activities in the school.  It aims to promote the vision and values of St Francis Xavier’s School while developing a spirit of mutual understanding and respect between home and school.  Through fund-raising and fun-raising events the committee endeavours to raise money for the school and maintain the strong feeling of community.  All parents / caregivers are invited to attend these meetings.  The Executive Committee is elected at the first meeting of the school year.

Other Committees

For St Francis Xavier’s School to be an effective service to the community we confidently call upon the active involvement of parents.  Each year we invite people to join a number of committees:

  • Capital Development and Maintenance
  • Sports Advisory
  • Canteen
  • Uniform
  • Out of School Hours Care
  • Education
  • Finance

The purpose of these committees is to provide guidance to those in positions of responsibility and to ensure the needs of all our community are met.
